For the last few days I’ve been trying to look into the code base of WordPress. Why? I like to read code – it’s what I do most of the days. Every now and then I pick up new tricks which I incorporate in my code at work. Anyhow – some blog posts ago  I taught you how to identify the eZ Publish release number. Now the time has come to do the same with WordPress.

Sloppy framework and CMS administrators sometimes forget to remove certain features or disable them. WordPress comes with a page called ‘readme.html’ which happily will give out the version number. Done.
